11am – 5pm: Explore different merlots from around the world in a private seated tasting, guided by our winery staff, $25 per couple

11am – 5pm: Our Tasting Room is cozy and romantic and we’ll be pairing our red wines with gourmet chocolates. Enjoy outdoor firepits, heated tent and a warm tasting room

Feb 12 Hearts for Haiti Valentine’s Fundraiser at Barrel Oak Winery
1pm – 9pm:  Enjoy a “Chocolate Loft” all weekend where you will include delicious dippable items for the Chocolate Fountain, romantic sparkling wine and a rose for every woman. $20 to attend ($5 to Haitian relief) which includes several tastings,music, chocolate and extended hours!

Reservations required the Wed before.  Steaming bowls of chili are served from 6:30 – 8:30pm in the Manor House along with a glass of their classic wine and comfy seats in front of the fireplace.  Come enjoy lots of board games and free wi-fi!

October’s Wine of the Month: Quattro Goomba’s Vino de Nonni

“Four Friends” or Quattro Goomba brings the spirit of Italy bottled in the hills of Virginia.  Our staff and wine tour manager have fallen in love with their Vino De Nonni, literally meaning “Grandfather’s wine”.  Located in South Riding, Quattro is Virginia’s first  micro urban winery and produces this blend of two reds and one white grape to deliver a light-bodied and fruity wine that pairs well with white pastas, fish, poultry or a cozy pizza night.

Every Sunday this fall they host local music for Acoustic Sundays.  The inviting cabin is surrounded by rustic farmland where you can watch the sunset on the spacious back patio.  If you are hungry for lunch or an easy picnic dinner,  the De Nonni also pairs well with a delicious Premium Select Wine Tour which features a selection of gourmet lunch options catered by Marvelous Market or Market Salamander.

Okay, that might be a stretch.  But why not take a stretch limo out and see for yourself!

Every weekend, Chariots delivers hundreds of folks out to Virginia wineries for bachelorette parties, birthdays, anniversaries and weddings.  Our clients have thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality offered by the vineyards we work with amongst Loudon, Fauquier, Rapphannock and Middleburg Counties.

Whether its the unforgettable sunsets at Breaux, Sunset Hills and Bluemont or the breathtaking tasting rooms at Barrel Oak and La Grange, wine lovers throughout the metro area have traveled in comfort on our Select Wine Tours which offer catered lunches from Chef Todd Grey of Equinox’ Market Salamander.

The fall harvest is coming soon, but there are still plenty of warm summer afternoons to spend amongst ripening vines and steeping oak barrels.  Virginia wineries are also the perfect “daycation” given the expensive airfares that make Napa an unlikely option for those with pioneering pallets and open minds.  As Autumn approaches, the Old Dominion ripens with festivals that pair wine with art and music, in addition to a wonderful variety of food.
